Megan Hanson and Sydni Wendling will show you how to access the FAFSA and what information you’ll need to complete the form. They will also answer questions about CSS Profile application and introduce other types of aid that can help you pay for college.
About the presenters:

She is a community outreach worker and provides knowledge and assistance regarding financial aid and how to pay for college. She graduated from the University of Chicago in 2022. She is pursuing a Masters degree in Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois.
Sydni Wendling works with the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) in the Community Outreach department. She is always happy to assist individuals in their college-going journey, from defining interests and searching for the right college-fit, as well as learning about and applying for financial aid, to making career choices or post-secondary education. Sydni graduated from Iowa State University with the class of 2023 majoring in Anthropology. She plans to continue her education in Anthropology after working in the field.
Presented in partnership with Illinois Student Assistance Commission.
Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) is a state agency providing information and assistance to help make education beyond high school accessible and affordable for Illinois families. ISAC provides comprehensive, objective, and timely information on education and financial aid for students and their families—giving them access to the tools they need to make the educational choices that are right for them. Then, through the state scholarship and grant programs ISAC administers, including the state’s flagship Monetary Award Program, ISAC can help students make those choices a reality.
Note: The FAFSA for next year is scheduled to open on December 1, 2024.
