“This years parade will be dedicated to Bruce Voges. He and his family are the reason we started having July 4th parades in St Joseph. His grandchildren asked him what he wanted for his birthday and he said, “I always like a good parade”. His family set up the first parade in 2020 and asked Troop 40 to lead. The parade has evolved over the past few years.Troop & Pack 40 will be organizing a 4th of July Parade in St Joseph. Parade route is similar to years past. We will assemble at the St Joseph Middle School starting at 6PM and end at the St Joseph Community Park. All are encouraged to participate in the parade; a suggested $5 donation (collected the day of) will go towards the Local Food Bank (only monetary donations, sorry no food) and Friends of Scouting. We will be collecting donations during the parade as well. In addition, we will be collecting American Flags that need to be retired. We will have 3 categories floats can compete in. “Best Golf Cart” “Best Overall” & “Most Patriotic”. Winners will receive a gift card to a local St Joseph place of business. We hope to see a large crowd and thank you for your support!”
