The Staerkel Planetarium offers matinée shows with sensory-friendly settings on selected Saturdays. Sensory-friendly shows have “lights up, sound down” settings and a relaxed atmosphere where patrons can come, go, and move around as needed. Sensory-friendly shows are great for guests with autism spectrum disorder, sensory sensitivities, or young children. All are welcome, even if you don’t need sensory accommodations!
How will Santa find his way home? You, too, can find Santa’s secret star in the sky in this holiday show about the winter sky. Learn about the North Star and how the sky changes as you travel northward.
Tickets are $8 for ages 13+ and $7 for Parkland Students, Children, Seniors, and Veterans/Military. You can purchase tickets online by visiting tickets.parkland.edu or in person before the show.
