Smash your old Halloween pumpkin(s) at Urbana’s Landscape Recycling Center (LRC) food scrap compost pile and avoid that pumpkin rotting in your yard.
This FREE event will be held 11 am – 3 pm on November 2.
Drive through the LRC and smash your pumpkin in the compost pile (great photo opportunity!), and learn about local organics recycling and composting. Please no candles or other materials in the pumpkins.
You can also bring your old pumpkins to the LRC for free anytime during open hours throughout the fall. You can drop off or pick up landscape material any time during open hours (fees apply).
