Lighting Up Downtown Champaign: The Parade of Lights and the Joy of Shopping Local This Holiday Season
Champaign, IL – The holiday season shines bright as the 24th Annual Parade of Lights presented by Christie Clinic illuminates Downtown Champaign on Saturday, November 30, marking the perfect kickoff to Small Business Saturday. This cherished community tradition invites everyone to celebrate the magic of the holidays while supporting local businesses.
The Parade of Lights, themed “Candy Cane Lane,” begins at 6:00 PM and will feature dazzling floats, enchanting performances, and visits from beloved holiday characters. The event highlights the importance of shopping local this holiday season, emphasizing the role small businesses play in creating a thriving, vibrant community.
This year’s Parade of Lights is made possible through the generous support of our specialty sponsors:
· Christie Clinic, the presenting sponsor, bringing the Parade of Lights to life.

Introducing the Passport of Presents
This year, Champaign Center Partnership is thrilled to launch the Passport of Presents, a new promotion encouraging community members to shop local throughout the holiday season.
· Pick up your Passport during the Parade of Lights at the Gingerbread Man booth on Candy Cane Lane or at participating businesses.
· Spend at least $20 at participating businesses from November 30 through January 8 to earn stamps.
· Collect five stamps and return your Passport to the Champaign Center Partnership office by January 8 to be entered into a raffle for a prize valued at over $500.
