Engineering Open House (EOH) is the nation’s largest student-run STEM fair organized by students in the Grainger College of Engineering at the University of Illinois. The theme of this year’s event is “The Age of Innovation,” and features over 200 student- and faculty-led exhibits and 14 special events. EOH exhibits include student-built cars, rocket launches, robot arms, and more! EOH runs from 9 AM-4 PM on Friday, April 4th and Saturday, April 5th and is free to attend. Exhibits will be located throughout campus engineering buildings, with the home base for EOH being in the Campus Instructional Facility.
This year’s EOH coincides with Mom’s Weekend, and they invite all moms to explore special EOH features on Saturday. Shuttle buses around the event and to/from parking lots will be available, and food trucks will be on site for meals. EOH is appropriate for all ages, including elementary-aged students and above. No advance registration is required; more information can be found on the EOH website (eohillinois.org) and further questions can be directed to Alicia Kim and Alyssa Huang at eoh@ec.illinois.edu.
Please remember that events may be canceled or rescheduled last minute due to unpredictable weather or other factors. We encourage you to reach out to event organizers before heading out to an event to verify it is still happening.
