Screaming cicada enthusiasts unite! Marvel at the mass emergence of Magicicada 13-year Brood XIX, which is the largest of all periodical cicada broods, and 17-year Brood XIII.
Emergence Convergence Festival

10 – 11 a.m. Cicada Talk with Dr. Katie Dana – Greenhouse Auditorium, Allerton Park (515 Old Timber Rd, Monticello, IL 61856) Follow the posted signs. Limited to 40 people (first come, first served)
11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Informal Q/A with Dr. Dana and Dr. Tommy McElrath, INHS Insect Collections Manager. Some preserved cicada specimens will be available.
12 p.m. Purchase limited amounts of “Emergence Convergence” by Triptych Brewing at the Greenhouse Cafe, brewed to celebrate the emergence of the broods.
