Vermilion County, IL – The Vermilion County Conservation District will be hosting “Celebrate Squirrel Appreciation Day” on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at the Kennekuk Education Center, Kennekuk County Park. Did you know squirrels can find food buried beneath a foot of snow? Or that the front teeth of a squirrel never stop growing throughout their life? Through crafts, games, activities, snacks, and more, people of all ages can stop by anytime from 1 – 4pm to learn more about these fascinating animals. The event is free with no pre-registration needed.
