The Beckman Institute’s SmithGroup Lecture will next week feature Calvin Mackie, founder of STEM NOLA. His talk is titled, “Hope in the 21st Century” and is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 3, in the Beckman Auditorium. They’ll follow it with a kid-friendly reception and a preview of the Beckman Institute Open House from 4-6 p.m. Thursday.
