The path through Prairie Farm in Champaign will feature brightly colored lights
This classic summertime destination opens its gates for the holiday season so visitors can stroll through the familiar path
The Champaign Park District will be illuminating Prairie Farm (located on Kirby Avenue, just south of Sholem Aquatic Center) for Winter Nights on Thursday through Sunday nights, Nov. 29 through Jan. 5.

When: Thursdays through Sundays, Nov. 29 through Jan. 5, 5-9 p.m.
Where: Prairie Farm, 2202 W. Kirby Ave., Champaign
How much: Free to enter; hot chocolate available for purchase (or free on Sunday, Dec. 1 during our Chambanamoms “Twinkling Lights and Hot Cocoa” event)

Special nights to know about
- Opening Night
On opening night (Friday, Nov. 29), you can meet Santa, listen to carolers and enjoy complimentary hot chocolate thanks to the Champaign Park District. - Twinkling Lights and Hot Cocoa, a Chambanamoms event presented by Christie Clinic
We are thrilled to bring this event back again this year, happening on Sunday, Dec. 1 from 5-6:30 p.m. During this event, Chambanamoms will be passing out complimentary hot chocolate. - Sensory Sundays
From 5-7 p.m. on Sundays between Dec. 8 and Dec. 22, there will be no music or flashing lights
Other important info
There are no animals at Prairie Farm during the winter holiday lights. Make sure your kids know ahead of time!
