Explore the magical world of animals, science, and caring and you’ll agree: There’s no place like Vet Med! Illinois veterinary students showcase their profession through >40 interactive exhibits. SafeWorks Illinois provides comprehensive occupational health services and return-to-work programs to create safe, drug-free businesses and industries. Their ultimate goal is to promote wellness in the workplace. They achieve results by developing prevention programs and providing injury treatment and rehabilitation services to help the employee recover, rehabilitate and return to work.
They are passionate about helping injured workers get back to being healthy. They do this through their own injury treatment and a network of trusted local specialists with whom they can fast track treatment.
SafeWorks Illinois invites you to their Trunk or Treat on October 5 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. This event is free to the public.

Urbana Fall Fusion Festival
Saturday, October 5, 3 – 7 p.m.
40 North and Urbana Arts & Culture Program are taking over downtown Urbana on Saturday, October 5 from 3-7 p.m. for the second annual Urbana Fall Fusion Festival! Enjoy live music, art, performances, professional pumpkin carving demo, kids’ activities, photo ops and more!
Kids’ activities include: face painting, balloon art, caricatures, bubbles, crafts, and so much more.
Live performances include: Music by New Souls, Ryan Groff of Modern Drugs, and Dan Kusaya, Dennis Franzen professional pumpkin carving, circus, hula hooping and fire dancing with Christine Janak & Jordan Axelson, live painting and art demos.

Featuring award-winning children’s literature author presentations, book signings and sales, crafts and activities, face painting, live music, dance, and puppetry performances! Tuesday, October 15, 7 p.m.
Carle Health is hosting two free infant memorial events this year to honor the International Wave of Light on October 15.
Those who wish to participate may join in-person either at The Forum near Carle Foundation Hospital, 611 W. Park St., Urbana; or at the Chapel Garden of Carle BroMenn Medical Center, 1304 Franklin Ave., Normal. Click here for more information about the Urbana event, and here for the Normal event. Both sites offer a space to register for the reading of names at each event.
Those who wish to honor their baby from home may stream the Urbana memorial online using Microsoft Teams. You will need to download the free Microsoft Teams application, tap the link for the event, and allow it to open in the application. To join on a computer, just open the link in a web browser. Camargo Woolly Worm Festival

On Friday, October 4 from 4 – 7 p.m., there will be a Jonah Fish Fry (to raise funds for the annual festival) and Glow Cart Parade. Saturday features Aikman Wildlife shows, a kiddie tractor pull, magician walk-around, touch-a-truck and more. All events on both days will take place in Opal Thompson Park in Camargo.
