There are a number of Earth Day-related events happening this weekend and we round those up here for you. We have the Illini spring football game, among all kinds of other exciting events happening during this slightly cooler weekend than we experienced last week. Nonetheless, summer is right around the corner and we continue to help you prepare!

Academy High’s Spring Hangout | RSVP Required
Sunday, April 21 – 3 – 4:30 p.m.
Head to Academy High for a fun-filled afternoon of activities and socializing at the “Academy High Spring Hangout” for prospective, incoming, and current students and families! Get ready to enjoy springtime, meet new friends and catch up with old ones in a welcoming environment.
The event will take place at Academy High. Weather depending, they will either be hanging out in their outdoor space or inside the building. They’ll have a variety of exciting activities lined up, including games, arts, and crafts.
Feeling hungry? No worries! They’ll have delicious snacks and refreshments available, including frozen treats and an assortment of tasty finger foods.
This event is open to students and their families who are currently in grade six through twelfth; families are welcome to join the fun, but students can be dropped off at the event as well. Students are welcome to bring their friends!

Soccer Planet Play Group & Free Developmental Screenings
Tuesday, April 23, 10 a.m – 12 p.m.
This playgroup is free and open to children ages 0-5 and their caregivers who live in Champaign County. Join other families and have fun participating in open, indoor soccer play with your child.

Indian Acres Swim Day Camp is the longest standing day camp in the C-U area, known for its excellence in swim instruction.
