Thursday will be a big day for Illinois’ basketball programs. And fans can catch some of the excitement during a free event at State Farm Center.
A doubleheader featuring the men’s and women’s postseason games will be the highlight of a free watch party for fans. The Illini women play at Tulsa at 6:30 p.m. in a quarterfinal game of the WBIT. Fans can then watch the conclusion of the Connecticut-San Diego State men’s NCAA tournament game, followed by the Illini men taking on Iowa State in the Sweet 16 at approximately 9:10 p.m.
Gates open at 6 p.m. The first 350 fans will get a free hot dog. Coca-Cola will be on site with giveaways and products for taste testing. A photo booth and giveaways will be available from HBO Max.
In between games there will be crowd participation contests like knockout, three-point shooting, trivia and others.
Concessions will be available, including alcohol.
Fans are asked to enter the West main gates after utilizing free parking in the northwest and southwest lots. A clear bag policy will be in effect.
