After a couple great days of weather, the promise of spring is surely right around the corner. And first on the list of “spring things” to get ready for is spring break beginning at the end of NEXT week! If you are looking for a growing-by-the-day list of things to do, you can visit our “what to do on spring break” list here. If you’re looking for spring break camps, there are a few of those open, as well.
As for this weekend, enjoy your choice of a number of things to do. Our libraries, performing arts centers and sporting venues are all hopping this weekend!

Camp of the Week – I-Power Gymnastics and Ninja
I-Power’s preschool camp includes gymnastics, ninja, group activities, creative learning, theme activities including music, games, water fun, and crafts. Great opportunity to introduce your child to a structured setting with lots of fun incorporated. Children must be fully toilet independent. Ages 3 – 5 years.
I-Power’s school age athletic camp focuses on fitness and fun! Kids will work on gymnastics and ninja skills, play group games, do craft/art time, and hang out with friends. The specialty camp weeks are themed and include extra-special bonus activities like tie dying, water games, a color powder war, visits from Olympic sport athletes & more! Ages 5-13.

Monarch and Pollinator Fair
Saturday, March 2, 1-4 p.m.
McKinley Foundation, 410 E. Daniel St., Champaign
Come Flutter with Monarchs and Friends! Head to the McKinley Foundation on March 2 from 1 to 4 p.m., to learn about Monarch butterflies and how to help them thrive in Illinois.
Enjoy this free, family-friendly and interactive event and learn about the preservation of Monarch butterflies and other pollinators! So many activities planned, you’ll need the entire afternoon to see and do everything.
