Find free admission to The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis on Presidents Day
Some other Indianapolis attractions may have Presidents Day events added soon
This year some Indianapolis attractions offer free admission for Presidents Day. Indianapolis is a popular spot to visit for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day; you can have a great deal of fun for free on Presidents Day, too.
The most popular of all is The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, and you must reserve your free tickets ahead of time (while availability lasts).
If you’re thinking of traveling for an educational day trip, be sure to plan ahead as space is limited.
Some of our favorite Indianapolis family-friendly venues are free to the public on Presidents Day in 2024, which falls on Monday, Feb. 19. While we write often about free museum days in Chicago, free museum days at Indianapolis attractions are much more rare. We find them on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day and that is about it. This year we are hearing of free deals on Presidents Day, too, the most exciting of which is The Indianapolis Children’s Museum.
Tips:
– Even though admission may be free, advance reservations are required and free tickets are available beginning Feb. 9.
– Remember, Indianapolis is in the Eastern time zone. An early start to your day is the best way to maximize your time there.
– Save even more money by packing your own lunch and snacks.
– Parking may not be free.
– We base the savings on a family of four — two adults and two paying kids. This year, a family of two adults and two children can save nearly $100 by visiting the museum on Presidents Day.
The Indianapolis Children’s Museum
This is the big one, folks! The museum opens its doors with free admission to all children and families. You need to get tickets (available beginning Feb. 9) to be able to visit the museum for free. An older review of a visit to the Indianapolis Children’s Museum is available here.
AVERAGE SAVINGS FOR A FAMILY OF FOUR: Around $95 (no, that is not a typo!)
In years past, we have found fun things to do on Presidents Day at both Conner Prairie and the Indiana State Museum, too. No word on 2024 events/admission deals yet.
