Almost time to head back to school in Champaign-Urbana but that doesn’t mean the fun is over for the season
Families can choose from a myriad of events and activities this week in Champaign-Urbana
Can you hear the school bells beginning to ring? They’re going to start next week… ready or not, here we come. It will feel like summer in Champaign-Urbana for quite a bit longer but if you are wanting to make the most of the final weekend of summer break, there are lots of things happening. Fairs you can head to, large events at parks, concerts and more, just to name a few. Keep scrolling, because there are fireworks and more fun right around the corner!

Thursday, August 10, 6 – 8 p.m.
Join chambanamoms and Christie Clinic at the Illini Union and Main Quad for an evening of bowling and an outdoor movie!
The Illini Union’s Summer Films on the Quad series wraps up on Thursday, August 10 with The Little Mermaid (2023), starting at 9 p.m. on the Main Quad. The movie is FREE, just bring your own blanket, chair, etc. and enjoy the movie under the stars.
Before the film, come enjoy some bowling with your family at the Illini Union Rec Room! Bowl from 6-8 p.m. with FREE shoe rentals, hang out in the Quad with chambanamoms and Christie Clinic, and get settled in for the movie!
The movie is FREE, and bowling will be available for a fee with FREE shoe rental from 6-8pm. Check out https://union.illinois.edu/bowling for more info.
The Quad Shop will be open until 10 p.m. for guests to grab popcorn, drinks, snacks, etc.

Monticello Railway Museum – “401 In Steam”
