The critically acclaimed and mega-popular Bluey and her family will be coming to the Peoria Civic Center this fall.
Bluey, an Australian preschool animated TV series that’s shown on Disney Junior, Disney Channel and Disney+, will take center stage in Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 in the Peoria Civic Center Theater. There are two shows each day (3 p.m., 6 p.m.) and tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on April 21. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or the Civic Center box office, open Fridays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Bluey, a 7-year-old blue heeler, is the lead character. She is joined by 4-year-old sister Bingo, mother Chili and father Bandit. This is their first live theater show in the United States, featuring puppetry, live actors and iconic sets. According to publicity reports, Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show features an original story written by Bluey creator Joe Brumm and new music from composer Jeff Bush. It runs 50 minutes with no intermission.
About Bluey: Bluey is known for embarking on energetic, imaginative adventures, characterized by a focus on family life and growing up. As an Australian product, the show references the country’s culture. It has received numerous awards, including an International Emmy Kids Award in 2019.
