Some of your favorite animals may not be out during the winter months, so it is important to prepare your kids that the visit might be a little different. And sadly, earlier this month the zoo lost its snow leopard to COVID-induced pneumonia.
That said, there will be a lot you can see on your visit to Miller Park Zoo. Some of our favorites include the Sumatran tiger, wallabies (in the walkabout, which we hope are out during the winter) and the reptiles.
We are dreaming of summer days already, yes. But while we wait, we know Champaign-Urbana area families are willing to bundle up and head out for some fun that reminds us warmer days are right around the corner.
