Rosati’s Pizza, which closed its Urbana location in October, will reopen in June in the same space under new ownership.
A ribbon cutting for the “new” store is slated for 11 a.m. May 27 at 701 Gregory St., Unit H, in Urbana.
The franchise was sold by owner and operator Shane Morrison to new owners Rakesh and Neha Patel. The official opening will be in June, according to the City of Urbana, with hours of 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
Rosati’s closed Oct. 25 after 14 years of business on the University of Illinois campus.
Rosati’s features Chicago-style deep dish pizza and other Italian specialties. The menu of the reopened restaurant is expected to be similar to the previous one.
