Following the Food and Drug Administration’s emergency authorization of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for ages 12-15, Champaign County residents in that age group will have access to the shot as soon as Thursday, May 13.
According to the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District:
Anyone 12 years of age or older is now able to receive the Pfizer vaccine. Moderna and Johnson & Johnson are available to individuals age 18 and older. The following clinics are currently available to those meeting age requirements based on the manufacturer’s guidance and who live or work in Champaign County. Parental consent is needed for anyone under the age of 18.
