Whatever your plans this Valentine’s Day, Champaign-Urbana restaurants and businesses are offering dining specials to accommodate your romantic weekend, family night, or Galentine’s celebration.

Planning an evening with the kids, your partner or significant other, or a day with your best pals? Looking for carryout specials? Looking for heated outdoor dining? We can help with that. One thing to be celebrated is the fact that Valentine’s Day 2021 falls on the weekend this year, so make your reservations early for dining.

Champaign-Urbana restaurants, businesses, and caterers offering Valentine’s Day specials

Common Ground Food Co-Operative, 300 S. Broadway Ave. #166, Urbana: Cook a fancy dinner at home with you Common Ground meal kit.  Meal kits include food to be cooked at home. Select your favorite dishes from a three-course menu.  You’ll have the choice between three bottles of wine, two appetizers, two entrees, and two desserts – or select them all.  Meal kits will also include pre-made Co-op sauces, herb rubs, and recipe card instructions.  All menu items except the bread and wine are portioned with 1 serving in mind. Hickory River Smokehouse, 1706 N. Cunningham Ave., Urbana: Join Hickory River for a dinner special through February 15, 2021.  This includes 2 barbecue dinner plates, cornbread, 2 sides, 2 drinks, and 2 desserts.

Blue Dragonfly Catering, 1205 N. Harris Ave., Champaign: Dinner for two for Valentine’s Day, with orders due by Feb. 11 and picked up Feb. 13. Menu is here. Order here. A confirmation email will be sent for each order with pick up instructions.

Michaels’ Catering, 720 S. Neil St. #3, Champaign: Michaels’ Catering is offering a romantic dinner for two (or dinner for one) which will be delivered hot between 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Valentine’s Day.  The meal includes a salad of mixed greens, marcona almonds, manchego cheese, dried cherries, diced apples, and sherry vinaigrette.  It also includes seafood chowder, chargrilled and marinated flank steak, creamy mushroom wild rice, and prosciutto wrapped asparagus.  A dessert of individual baked Alaskas and chocolate covered strawberries is included.  A vegetarian roasted vegetable phyllo pie is also available.  Add ons of shrimp cocktail, cheese rarebit, Prosecco, and more are also available.  Preorder by calling 217-351-2500.

Piato Cafe, 804 E. Main St., Urbana: Choose between pork chop with Bourbon molasses glaze and parmesan mashed potatoes, honey and soy glazed salmon with jasmine rice, chicken cor don blue with penne pasta and Alfredo sauce, or creamy polenta with mushrooms and collards. All dinners come with roasted veggies, rolls (vegan and GF available upon request), Blue Moon Farm Greens w/Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing, and your choice of dessert including strawberry and chocolate brownie cheesecake, red velvet cream cheese bundt cake, and gluten free/vegan strawberry chocolate tart.  Have kids at home? They are offering a heart shaped pepperoni or cheese pizza with carrot sticks and sugar cookie. Place your order by 4:00 February 10 and pickup on February 13 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Delivery is available for a small fee. Sugar cookies are also available for $10/dozen.

The Venue CU, downtown, Champaign: Your romantic, socially-distanced table will be decorated and set for 2, with your choice of either a chilled bottle of champagne or two drink tickets to be redeemed at the bar. Blue Dragonfly Catering, 1205 N. Harris Ave., Champaign: Order your DIY Valentine’s Day Cookie Decorating Kits which include heart shaped cookies made with Blue Dragonfly’s signature German butter cookie dough. The kit includes includes 12 cookies, 3 icings (white, pink and red) and assorted sprinkles.  Orders must be placed by February 9th with pickup on February 11 between 12:o0-1:30 p.m.  A confirmation email will be sent with pick up details and address.

Tasty Tart, 405 S. Neil St., Suite C, Champaign: Tasty Tart is offering a sweets box for preorder February 10-14.  These boxes come with 4 tarts (including limited edition Valentine flavors of very berry and raspberry chocolate, lemon, and cookies and cream.  Reserve your Sweet Box while supplies last via preorder or call (331) 303-2477.
