Don’t be spooked – but on Halloween night, there are several kids eat free (or cheap) deals at restaurants in Champaign-Urbana.
As we know, this year has been, well, different. If you’re looking for ways to make this Halloween memorable, there are certainly plenty of options. Dining out (pickup options are available, too!) could make this year one to remember.
Some of these options require costumes, so read the fine print.

KIDS EAT FREE:
Houlihan’s, Champaign: Buy one adult entree you get one kid’s meal free on Oct. 31. Houlihan’s has both indoor and outdoor dining, with a lovely heated patio. Located at 1900 S. First Street, Champaign (in the I-Hotel).
Slim Chickens, Champaign: FREE Kid’s Meal (kids 10 and under) with the purchase of any adult meal. One day only on Saturday, October 31. Dine-in, Drive-thru or Order Online. Use code TRICKORTREAT.
Curtis Orchard, Champaign: Free donuts for visitors in costume (of all ages – kids and adults) from now through Sunday, Nov. 1. One donut per person.
Insomnia Cookies, Champaign: Visit them in costume and get a free cookie on Halloween. The Champaign Insomnia Cookies is located on John Street in Campustown. *One cookie per guest, expires Nov. 1, 2020 at 2 am (local time). Notice, not for kids only!
McAlister’s Deli, Champaign: This year, McAlister’s Deli will offer its annual Halloween Kids Eat Free promotion from Friday, Oct. 30 through Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020. When ordering in the restaurant, the Halloween Kids Eat Free offer is valid in-person for kids 12 and under wearing a costume (One kids meal for each adult entree). When placing an order online or in the mobile app, each guest will receive one free kid’s meal with the purchase of an adult entrée when they use promo code FREETREAT20. This offer is valid for rewards members only, but it’s free to sign up! Additions to kid’s meals will be charged. Only items from the Kid’s Menu apply. The Kids Eat Free offer cannot be combined with any other offer and there is no cash value.
Steak n’ Shake (Champaign and Urbana locations): On October 31 only, head to a participating Steak ‘n Shake with your kiddos while dressed in Halloween costumes so they can receive a FREE kids milkshake of their choice (up to $3.59 value) – no coupon needed. This offer is only available to children age 12 and under, limit one per person.
Blaze Pizza (Champaign and campus locations): CRUNCH bar (the chocolate-and-rice bar formerly known as Nestlé Crunch) is teaming up with Blaze Pizza to make sure that everyone has a scary good Halloween experience. On October 31, starting at 4 p.m. local time, anyone who visits participating Blaze curbside locations or heads inside to the pizza pick-up station and says, “Trick or Treat,” will receive a free full-size CRUNCH bar—no purchase required. Available while supplies last.
Filippo’s Pizza and Italian Food (Mahomet location only): “We will be handing out candy on Halloween! No purchase necessary, just come outside and we will bring candy out front to you!” and “We would like to hand out a slice of pizza to each kid on Halloween as well! We can’t wait to see everyone’s costumes!” Available after 4:00 p.m. while supplies last.
NOT FREE, BUT CHEAP DEALS
Chipotle: This year’s boorito promotion is a buy one, get one free. A total of 500,000 BOGOs will be dropped via TikTok, Twitter and Instagram from October 29 to October 31. To claim their BOGOs, fans will have to act fast and text the valid keyword to 888-222 before Chipotle’s virtual House of BOGOs runs dry. The BOGOs will only be redeemable via the Chipotle app or Chipotle.com on Halloween, October 31.
Dairy Queen- At participating DQ locations, for one day only, fans can get a Kid’s Meal for $1.99 using the DQ mobile app. This comes complete with a choice of an entree, side, drink, and classic vanilla or chocolate Kid’s Cone.
