A Champaign-Urbana area favorite during Halloween season, the Farmer City Haunted Forest announces changes to this year’s event
It’s a year with lots of adjusting along the way. And with Halloween just around the corner, we’re eagerly anticipating what our favorite events will be doing to flex their muscles and make things happen this year. One of those events, the Farmer City Haunted Forest, has now announced its plans.
The Farmer City Haunted Forest is moving its event to Main Street in Farmer City for 2020. Families can drive through the event in their own vehicle to see the downtown square and nearby properties decked out for Halloween, similar to the Haunted Forest decor in years past.
Food will be available for purchase during the event at Farmer City restaurants.
The drive through event will be held from 6-10 p.m. on:
- Friday, Oct. 23
- Saturday, Oct. 24
- Sunday, Oct. 25
- Tuesday, Oct. 27
- Wednesday, Oct. 28
- Thursday, Oct. 29
- Friday, Oct. 30
- Saturday, Oct. 31
This event is a family-friendly event. When the haunted forest is held in other years, they typically offer special “matinee” family-friendly hours, but since this year’s event is being promoted as a family drive-through experience, we anticipate the scares to be minimal and the spooky atmosphere to be something attendees of all ages can enjoy as part of their Halloween season.
