Welcome to May – a new month with plenty of sunshine awaiting
Families in Champaign-Urbana can look forward to lots of sunshine – literally and figuratively – as we prepare for another month of living out life under stay-at-home guidelines and preparing for Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day is Coming
We know this Mother’s Day is going to be a little different this year. (Isn’t everything!?) Now is the time to prepare to celebrate the special moms in your life as we’re about a week away. Here are five ways to make Mother’s Day 2020 special. You’ll notice a theme among our Mother’s Day posts… moms don’t want to have to worry about cooking that day! So find out where to get delivery or takeout next weekend.
Order a shirt that gives back
You can also order a special gift for Mother’s Day (even if it is just for yourself) that gives back. We’ve partnered with Leave Your Mark Printshop to create two shirts that can be purchased to support families in Champaign-Urbana and surrounding rural areas. With your purchase you support food, housing, and financial assistance for families in need.
Each shirt costs $20. Thanks to an anonymous donor, the donation amount to United Way will be matched (up to $500), so $16 of every shirt purchased will go directly to Champaign County families in need. Click here for more info.
