(Please visit our larger article for a comprehensive look at Champaign-Urbana impacts. For info about school closures, visit here.
Stephens Family YMCA Closes To Members
UPDATE: “Effective March 15, at 6:00PM, the YMCA will be closed to all members until the end of day on March 29th. We are hoping to open on March 30, but we are not clear if that will be possible at this time. This includes all programs and facilities.
Please know that this decision was not made hastily. We spent a great deal of time trying to determine how we can best serve our community. At the end of the day, we have decided to do that by fully participating in the social distancing practices that are being recommended by all levels of federal, state, and local government. We have been in contact with YMCA’s all over the country, and we think that this is the right course of action at this time. We know that this will not be a completely popular decision, but during this time we feel it is best. ”
Krannert Art Museum
UPDATE on March 15: To support social distancing practices, Krannert Art Museum will close to the public, effective immediately.
The Peabody and Kinkead entrances will be closed to the public on Monday morning. We regret the short notice, but this action is the most responsible one an arts institution and public engagement unit can take to protect our visitors and our team.
Krannert Art Museum’s dedication to research and engagement in the arts will continue for the moment through digital platforms, including on our website and social media.
