Champaign bakery and dessert specialist Sweet Indulgence has found a new home.
The business announced Wednesday that it will move to The Shoppes at Knollwood in the space formerly occupied by Great Harvest Bread Company at 2149 S. Neil St.
“We had a great holiday season and I am thankful for the support of the community over these past few weeks,” owner Melissa Holste wrote. “Moving a bakery isn’t easy – we have a lot of equipment and supplies! But, with the help of our bakery team and friends from throughout the community, we’re now moved into our new home on South Neil Street. Even though we’ve only been here a few days .. it already feels like home! We can’t wait to see everyone again later this Spring!”
Sweet Indulgence had announced Dec. 10 that it would move from its current home at 111 W. Windsor Road to an undisclosed location. Great Harvest closed in September.
This isn’t the first time Sweet Indulgence has moved; longtime fans will remember its original location at Old Farm Shops, under previous ownership.
According to the post on its website, “Holste plans to continue to offer many of the items from the Windsor Road location, including cakes, cupcakes, pies, and tarts in addition to the famous cinnamon rolls, other morning pastries, and an espresso bar. There may be a few changes to the menu, as well as some new additions, all of which will be shared later this Spring.”
An opening date has not been revealed.
