Behavioral Perspective began with a simple belief that utilizing high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with a team of passionate, dedicated staff would yield maximum gains for individuals living with a neurodevelopmental challenge. BPI has rapidly grown since it was founded in 2010, adding many highly trained professionals that help individuals, families, and school systems thrive.
When the sudden closure of another provider occurred in February 2019, many families in Central Illinois were left without the vital services they had grown to depend upon. Through the hiring of existing qualified and committed staff, clinical services were established within a month of the initial contact. Since that time, clinics in both Champaign and Springfield are offering a full line of services, including our signature program, Apple Academy, an alternative or support for early learners who are struggling with traditional educational programming. BPI also provides onsite Occupational Therapy, which allows for the therapists to work together and formulate programming as a team.
BPI’s services are not limited to the clinic, however. The founder of the company, Candice Gizewski, began her career in special education and has a strong commitment to supporting educators in the classroom setting. BPI also can design programming for the home setting when needed. BPI has developed an online training course called “Parent Academy” offering support to the most important part of the therapy team, the parent/caregiver. These courses allow for ABA skills to be learned anywhere and everywhere there is access to the internet. You can find information about this program here.
No two clients or families are the same, so BPI programming is individualized, based on the needs, strengths, and priorities of each client and their families. BPI therapists, Board Certified Behavioral Analysts, and Registered Behavioral Therapists meet every family right where they are, providing ongoing support and teaching valuable new skills that families can implement permanently. As each learner progresses, therapists provide ongoing assessments and updated priorities that will continue to drive programming and growth.
BPI does not have an age limit and will endeavor to provide services for any person with a diagnosis. Most forms of insurance are accepted, as well as private pay options. The leadership is actively involved in legislation to assure that every person who can benefit from ABA therapy can get access to those services. The company is happy to provide a tour of their clinic or speak by phone to answer any questions. As there are requests and need, the company will continue to expand services throughout Central Illinois. You can call BPI at 888-308-3728 or visit the website.
