If your family loves to read like mine does, you might find yourself at Book Fairs – a lot. If that sounds familiar, listen up – because this article is for you. The Scholastic Book Fairs Big Event Warehouse Sale is a great opportunity to build up your home, school, classroom, church or other library.
If past experience is any indication, for some it’s definitely worth driving the 50 minutes to Bloomington to reap the benefits. The Scholastic Book Fairs Big Event Warehouse Sale takes place on Wednesday and Thursday, May 15 and 16, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day, at the Holiday Inn & Suites across from the Central Illinois Regional Airport. The hotel is at 3202 East Empire Street, Bloomington. (Kind of sad it’s during the week this time, boo hoo.)
This time, everything is BOGO – or buy one, get one free (same or lesser value, a few exceptions apply). Before you go, register for the Super Savings Pass ($10 off $100).
According to the website, the sale is for “school employees, school district personnel, homeschool directors & teachers, and Book Fair chairpeople and volunteers.”
While they can’t advertise this as being open to the general public, all are welcome. When a similar sale was in Urbana a few years ago, they did not check ID or turn any shoppers away. It’s unfortunate that they aren’t back in Urbana; the Bloomington sale is the closest to our community.
The information below is from the Scholastic Book Fairs website and details payment options and more fine print.
