If you have a child headed to kindergarten in the fall in the Champaign Unit 4 School district, your school assignment wait will be over soon – if not already today.
The 2019 kindergarten school assignment letters started showing up in mailboxes around Champaign, Savoy and Bondville on Friday afternoon (April 19).
District offices are closed today for “spring holiday” aka Good Friday, and will be closed again on Monday. Chambanamoms.com sent an inquiry to Unit 4 earlier this week asking about the status of the assignments, but did not yet receive a response.
The registration window was open from January 1 to March 29.
Parents in Champaign, Savoy, and Bondville will be watching the mail intently over the next few days to see if their child matched with the school they choose in the 2019 Champaign Unit 4 Schools kindergarten registration.
Our 2019 Schools of Choice family, the Pridemores, received their letter on Friday. (You’ll have to wait for their next installment to see what happened. Read about their journey through the Champaign Unit 4 Schools of Choice process starting HERE.)
We will provide updates on the 2019 data as it is released by Champaign Unit 4 Schools.
We also have posted information about Urbana Schools kindergarten registration process, and other Champaign County area districts as well.
