Tis’ the Season for holiday trolleys, fa, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la!
If you missed the downtown Champaign holiday trolley rides in the past, don’t blink now: there are still some seats available this Christmas season for downtown trolley rides on Saturdays, Dec. 1 and 8. You will want to book your reservations soon- they are filling up fast, and might not last after we post this article.
Like previous years, riders will enjoy hot chocolate, caroling and cookies while taking in the holiday sights and sounds of Champaign-Urbana in an open-air trolley.
The cost is $5 per rider. The ride lasts about 20 minutes and takes passengers through downtown Champaign as well as the Midtown and Campustown districts.
Registration and payments must be done online by going to champaigncenter.com.
Riders must register and pay prior to showing up to the rides; no payments will be accepted at the event. Riders must also bring their confirmation of registration with them to the event.
The pick up and drop off location for the trolley is at Emmanuel Memorial Episcopal Church at 208 W. University Ave. Riders are asked to arrive 10 minutes prior to boarding time. The rides will be held between 3 and 6 p.m.
