Friends of a Mahomet family are reaching out to the community for help and support after a father of two was killed in a tragic accident.
Bryan Reigart, 38, passed away unexpectedly on September 16, after he was hit by a car while crossing the street in far north suburban Crystal Lake.
He is survived by his wife Melissa, a nurse at Carle, and two school-age children, Addyson and Wilson. Bryan worked for the University of Illinois.
“As a community we can brighten their future path to ensure these dark days do not impede their ultimate potential in life. Let’s lift this family up and help them to survive and thrive in this time of great need after such a sad tragedy,” wrote Amy Lybarger, a friend of the family.
The friends have set up a Go Fund Me account that at this writing, has almost reached $15,000. The friends are also setting up meals for the family. If you are interested in being part of the meal train, please contact Amy at amyelybarger@gmail.com. A fund for the children’s education has also been set up at Busey Bank in Mahomet.
