The jumping, bouncing, tumbling and rolling at Champaign’s newest attraction begins on Sept. 14.
That’s when Elevate Trampoline Park at 707 N. Country Fair Drive in Champaign will open its doors. Workers on Friday were busily putting the finishing touches on the facility, which is housed at the former YMCA Family and Fitness Center, at the back end of the State of Illinois Department of Human Services building.
Elevate was originally hoping to open in the spring but recently has been posting updates on its Facebook page and website.
The Champaign location follows the opening of an Elevate facility in Peoria and a more recent project in Milan, near the Quad Cities. It is known for its array of trampolines, foam pits, dodgeball, launch pads, ninja courses and basketball pits. The Champaign Elevate will have a separate area for toddlers and younger kids, along with a birthday party room and elevated viewing area on the second floor that overlooks much of the play areas. There’s also a snack bar.
According to its website, Elevate will open at 10 a.m. every day with closing times varying between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. depending on the day of the week.
