Some of the Dairy Queen restaurants in the Champaign-Urbana area that are participating in Free Cone Day include the following locations: 1501 Lyndhurst Alley in Savoy (by the Savoy 16); 3602 N. Mattis Ave. in Champaign (off the I-57 Olympian Drive exit); the Urbana Dairy Queen located on University Avenue; the Rantoul store located on Klein Avenue; and the St. Jospeh DQ located on N. 3rd Street.
During Free Cone Day, Dairy Queen will be accepting donations that will go towards the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®, which raises funds to help save and improve the lives of kids treated at 170 children’s hospitals across the U.S. and Canada. According to a press release, all donations collected on Free Cone Day stay in the communities in which they are raised to support local kids at area CMN Hospitals.
Over the last 31 years, the Dairy Queen system has raised more than $110 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in local communities.
