Hey, ALDI fans: eat your hearts out without ever leaving your house, as ALDI has become at least the third Champaign-Urbana area grocery store chain to add delivery services to its menu.
The company made the official announcement on Monday, March 12, though a sign in the Savoy store has been advertising the upcoming services for days. All three ALDI stores — Champaign, Urbana and Savoy — will provide the service.
ALDI will join Meijer and Schnucks as stores that offer delivery. ALDI is using the same third-party service company — Instacart — that Schnucks employs.
Shoppers can now find ALDI brands online and Instacart will deliver the groceries in as little as an hour.
First-time Instacart customers can take advantage of $20 off, plus free delivery of their first order of $35 or more by using the code LOVEALDI through May 31, 2018.
