A Champaign couple had a unique gender reveal event on Sunday afternoon thanks to the Savoy Fire Department.
Marissa and Adam Siero’s first child is due in February. Adam Siero has been serving as a dedicated volunteer firefighter with the Savoy Fire Department for two years.
The department had the idea to reveal baby Siero’s gender at the annual Savoy Fire Department family picnic, held at Colbert Park. How to do it, you ask? By coloring the water shooting out of a firehose.
Marissa Siero filmed the event and broadcast it to her friends and family across the country via Facebook Live.
The video shows the couple’s reaction after seeing the BLUE shoot out from the Savoy Fire truck. Adam Siero jumps with a fist in the air, while the couple hug and enjoy the spectacle:
It’s a BOY!
The celebration didn’t last too long: on the way back from the picnic/reveal a call came in and Savoy Fire went right back to work.
“This was such a special day for Adam and I, it was so wonderful to share the news with our Savoy Fire family,” Marissa said. “They really have been a great support system for us. It’s wonderful to be part of a family who really cares about each other.”
Baby Siero is due right before Valentine’s Day. Congratulations to Adam, Marissa and their families, we are very excited for you all.
