If you have a child headed to kindergarten in the fall in the Champaign Unit 4 School district, your school assignment wait will be over soon.
Champaign Unit 4 School District has confirmed to chambanamoms.com that the 2017 kindergarten school assignment letters were mailed on Friday afternoon. That means they could start showing up in local mailboxes as soon as Saturday, said Emily Schmit, Champaign Unit 4 Director of Communications and Community Relations.
The district mailed 702 letters. The registration window was open from January 1 to March 31.
Parents in Champaign, Savoy, and Bondville will be watching the mail intently over the next few days to see if their child matched with the school they choose in the 2017 Champaign Unit 4 Schools kindergarten registration.
Further data regarding placements will be distributed next week, Schmit said. We will provide updates on the 2017 data as it is released by Champaign Unit 4 Schools.
