Does your wardrobe need refurbishing? Are you into shoes and purses? Are you looking for a date-night kit or a pamper-me kit? Do you love to support community organizations?
If you answered “YES!” to any of these questions, the GOALS Project’s Second Annual Purse & Shoe Auction should be a must on your November Calendar.
Our purse and shoe auction is back by popular demand. Generous donors have again offered a variety of gently-used purses and shoes and raffle basket goodies that we are auctioning off in support of the GOALS Project.
In addition to our fundraiser, we are also celebrating the achievements of our teen moms. They work hard each day to meet the goals they set with their mentors and we are proud of them!
Proceeds from this event will go toward GOALS programming. We have some exciting workshops for 2015, but we need your help to get them rolling. One of our projects is a literacy campaign that we are kicking off with a contribution generously offered by the Junior League. This campaign includes workshops will show our moms how to effectively read to their children. Part of these hands-on workshops includes giving each mom a starter-set of books that they can take home with them.
But that’s not all! The GOALS Project has an even bigger objective with this literacy campaign. We hope to build a library that our participants can use regularly as they work on meeting their parenting goals.
We hope you can join us for food, fun, and fellowship from 1-4 p.m. at Jupiter’s @ the Crossing on November 8!
And, as always, feel free to contact us at thegoalsproject@gmail.com or find us on our website .
