by The Wannabe Mom
If my kitchen table was big enough I’d invite all of you over for my world-famous blueberry pancakes and the good coffee.
I’d brew it in my French press. We’d use real cream and perfect little sugar cubes to make it taste like heaven. I’d have fresh cut flowers—pretty yellows and whites—in mason jars out on my grandma’s old lacy tablecloth and we’d use the good dishes.
I’d insist you all wear PJs. Or yoga pants. Or whatever it is you wear when you want to be really comfortable. And I’d wear my apron, because this Wannabemom loves an apron.
We’d all sit and talk. And eat. And talk. And drink cup after cup of the good coffee.
It would be a great morning. The best, actually. And before we knew it, it would be lunchtime. I would hug each of you and thank you from the bottom of my heart. I would tell you all—probably with some happy tears in my eyes—how your gifts made March 25, 2011 a very special day for us.
In a perfect world, this is how I would express my gratitude to all of you.
But my kitchen table only seats six.
Sigh.
So this virtual thank-you card will have to do.
Our little birthday celebration last week raised over $1,000 for Crisis Nursery.
I am touched. I am grateful to all of you who found it in your hearts to make a little donation in our little baby’s name. You are all my dear, dear friends. I appreciate every one of you.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Now get out there and enjoy the sunshine today. And please know that you made my hubby and me—and the folks at Crisis Nursery–very happy last week.
