I planned to write a really witty blog post about all these drugs wrapped up like presents under my Christmas tree.
But right after I took this picture and pulled out my laptop to type, the out-of-town side of my family pulled into my driveway honking their horns. Two hours early.
Three bottles of Champagne, a baked brie with apricot preserves and some shrimp with really horseradish-y cocktail sauce later, I scratched my plan to write anything creative.
I’m not working for the next three days in a row—yessssss. That never happens. I’m going to relish every minute.
I plan to sit around the fire–cuddled under heaps of blankets–with all the people I love.
Soup simmering on the stove. Warm cookies on the counter. And good Champagne sipped from the good champagne flutes.
Eating. Drinking (just a little for me). Laughing.
Family. Family. And more family. It doesn’t get any better than this.
I hope you’re all able to surround yourselves with family and the good stuff this holiday season. Merry Christmas and lots of love to you and yours.
P.S. I start my Lupron injections this Sunday. And then all the other follicle-stimulating injections a week after that. My Christmas wish is for all these drugs dressed up in their holiday bows to produce a little baby I can nestle into my chest next Christmas.
